I always order a couple of balls of DMC Pearl Cotton with every order as it is impossible to find where I live. I prefer it to the "fancy brand quilt store" perle cotton as it doesn't fray as much when doing slow stitching and using it for finishing bindings on the back of quilts like Melanie often shows on her quilts. It seems to be stronger for these purposes.
