Do you remember fortune tellers from childhood? The little folded paper with the numbers written on them that would tell you who you “liked” or make you do something silly? When I designed the star block for this quilt they were the first thing I thought of! I’ve spaced the stars out in this design, as I always like to leave a little room for the quilting to shine.
You can make this pattern two different ways depending on your mood or style: modern, made with four fabrics and scrappy, made with fat quarters. Both ways are fun!

Soulshine Quilt Pattern
I have had my eye on this pattern for quite some time and finally cleared my WIPs so I could get started on this one. I did use my own fabric stash and it is a great stash buster. I have cut all the pieces but proofed it with my first block and it went together like a charm...no tears, lol. Was skeptical that a pattern with so many flying geese would be a beginner pattern but it all worked out great.

The Soulshine Quilt pattern is so pretty, and to be honest, the cover picture is the reason I got it. I am currently gathering my fabrics to make it!
